Establish Immunity with Vaccination

Vaccination helps to prevent footrot bacteria taking hold across the whole flock.

Vaccinated animals are less likely to succumb to the disease should they come into contact with the bacteria (e.g. from another infected ewe or contaminated pasture), helping to avoid the spread of infection.

Ask yourself the questions below. If you answer ‘no’ to more than three, consider increasing your focus on vaccination.
